The Harrah’s 2006 edition of the profile says that recreational gamblers are trendsetters and that they favor licensed casinos in their home states. The company survey, which is done every two years, also indicates that 25% of the American citizens over 21 gambled at least once in 2005.
According to Gary Loveman, president and CEO for Harrah’s, the most important issue here is the finding that U.S. adults favor licensed casinos in their own states. Recreational gamblers are like tech fans, they like to tell their friends and family about where they trip, stay, eat and gamble.
Another interesting point that the investigation showed was that 71% of the recreational gamblers prefer slot machines and video poker over table games.
