21st birthdays Las Vegas crazy style

Recently, Ashlee Simpson and Kelly Osbourne celebrated their 21st birthdays Las Vegas style.

Simpson marked her big day by giving fans a special live performance at Pure Nightclub in Caesars Palace. After the show, she scored a $500 win at the roulette table.

Ozzy's little girl made it a weekend-long affair, hitting Sin City with all the power she could pack in her suddenly legal punch, making stops at trendy Nobu, Tao and Body English.

She received a pink birthday cake onstage at Beacher's Madhouse and partied with Paris Hilton until 7 a.m. in a $10,000-a-night penthouse suite at the Hard Rock Hotel that included a professional-size pool table, bowling alley and 10-person steam shower. "It was the perfect way to turn 21," she says.

"It seems like everyone wants to celebrate their 21st birthday in Vegas," says comic and ex-New Yorker Jeff Beacher, whose weekly variety show at the Hard Rock is a regular stop for Yankee star Derek Jeter, rocker Jon Bon Jovi and seemingly anyone with the last name Hilton. "Even though you are finally an adult, it is fun to act young and irresponsible. Here it is all about the vices: partying, gambling and sex."

Two days after turning legal (on Sept. 27), Avril Lavigne checked into the Palms Hotel & Casino - the same spot where Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson recently bought a $2 million condominium and Britney Spears partied on the night of her first wedding.

Hilton, who turned 21 in 2002, threw five simultaneous parties all over the world to mark her big day. In Vegas, festivities were held at the Bellagio's Light nightclub - a spin-off of the E. 54th St. hot spot Light.

"The No. 1 thing everyone wants to do when they come here is go to the biggest, baddest clubs," says Michael Jasciliewicz of Vegas Hot Spots, a party planning service that provides VIP treatment to anyone who can pay the price.

His company recently coordinated a 21st birthday party for the son of a wealthy New York businessman. It included a private jet, suites at the Hard Rock Hotel and tickets to see Bon Jovi.

"It was about $4,000 per person," he says. "If you want me to fly out Dave Matthews, it will probably cost $200,000 - but we can probably do it."
